Thank you so much Cindy and John. It was a mesmerising experience for me, my husband and my 10 year old. All three of us who don't know how to swim usually miss out on most water activities but your confidence is what made us do this and we don't have any regrets.

We were blessed to be able to do this on a day when the weather was perfect. The water was so serene that at some point it felt like I could just sit in that kayak, soak in that sun and not think about anything else. For people like us who live in the city this was definitely a rewarding experience. We'd feel our troubles and stress just melting away. The fun factor in the paddling being the added bonus.

The experience is such that it stays with you even after you leave the place. It was almost like I brought back home a part of the Dunns swamp.

Cindy was amazing as a tour guide. She talked through the past of the place giving us a feel of the place and always placed the safety and comfort of the tour participants upfront. When we've had to hop on and off the kayak, Cindy would stand in the water, half immersed to ensure we got on and off the kayak without getting soaked. The way Cindy summons us by our first name even before we introduced ourselves is almost like we knew each other from a long time.

I have a huge appreciation for this experience and have highly recommended it to all my friends as a must-do activity when they visit the area.

Thanks again, Cindy and John for gifting us this lovely experience.

Warm regards

We recently went on a kayaking experience with Southern Cross Kayaking and it was an incredible experience. Not only was the kayaking itself beautiful and serene, but our guide was an absolute wealth of historical knowledge. She was able to point out historical landmarks and tell us stories about the area that made the experience even more enriching. She also managed to seamlessly combine the natural beauty of the area with its rich history, which was truly impressive. The kayaks were well-maintained and comfortable, and the overall organization of the trip was top-notch. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a unique way to explore the area and learn about its aboriginal history. Thanks to our fantastic guide, the Southern Cross kayaking experience was truly unforgettable.

I so appreciate all you do. You made an indelible impression on my elderly father when we came to take him kayaking. He could no longer bushwalk, but you enabled him to view the magnificent bush and cliffs from the water.

That’s the best $45 we've ever spent!

We headed off to Dunns Swamp for a kayak adventure. We were guided by two well informed local guides who educated us on the aboriginal history of the region and the creation of the waterway that we were floating on.

The area has large limestone deposits and was developed into the cement centre for building Australia in the early 1900's. Up until the area was developed Australia relied upon cement from Europe. The area needed a reliable water source to truly set itself up as a cement centre to build Sydney. Therefore, a dam was required. A group of workers set about creating and building what is still in operation today. The water way was so beautiful and serene. Awesome!

Masterfully set up as this is a moveable business, Southern Cross Kayaking Ganguddy operation is unique to Central NSW and provides visitors and locals with a great opportunity to try a new activity/exercise and to view a beautiful part of the country from a different angle.

The guided tour is very well planned out and researched so that guests learn many different aspects of the Dunns Swamp area - Aboriginal and European history, about the dam wall construction and the life style of those who constructed it, the wildlife and nature, waterways and water safety.

Back in 2006 I booked myself on a paddling expedition around the Antarctic Peninsula. I had limited paddling experience and the day before I was due to leave I decided it would be beneficial to have a lesson to brush up on my somewhat rusty paddling skills.

Cindy and John were awesome! They were super friendly, knowledgeable, patient and professional. In the short time I had available they were able to teach me various skills including; forward and back paddling, turning, low support and self-rescue. My confidence and skill level improved dramatically and by the end of the session I felt much better prepared for what lay ahead on my epic trip.

Thanks to both of them my trip to Antarctica was an unbelievably amazing experience (difficult to describe with mere words) which in turn led to a growing passion for paddling and the purchase of my own boat.

I have since returned to the Antarctic Peninsula and also to Spitsbergen (Norway) and Greenland for further incredible paddling experiences as well as paddling various waterways in Australia and South America.

Dear Cindy and John

Just wanted to thank you both again for making our first kayaking experience an exciting one. We had a lot of fun and would like to try it again with our children. Will get in touch when we decide to go ahead with our next tour.

This is by far one of the most peaceful places I have seen – a slow paddle is absolutely the best way to see all this. Having Cindy along and share her knowledge of the area was wonderful. She is a great ambassador for the site and allowed me to know what I was looking at.

Cindy and John are Great! Thank you so much guys.
